Project Manager
Current· General responsibilities include leading and coordinating the efforts of the Information Systems Department to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met; consulting and providing recommendations for system design issues as well as determining customer needs and developing overall project implementation plans for large, complex projects; ROI, resource, and cost analysis; leading project steering committees and IS Advisory team; Provide project risk assessment and mitigation; Vendor management; Budget management; Development of training and implementation plans; Prioritizes projects based upon strategic objectives of the organization’s five pillars· Build out of a new 29 room ICU unit with 3 proper nurses station and 9 substations to include management and coordination of technical, clinical, administrative, infrastructure, telecommunications, and networking teams; coordination of installation of all hardware, software, wiring, communication devices for pumps and vents.· Analysis of multiple volunteer tracking systems with the recommendation to implement Volgistics. Project was completed a month ahead of schedule with 20% savings negotiated with the vendor.· Process improvement, development of new processes and standards in a fledgling project management office to more effectively and efficiently serve our in-house clients. We are now involved earlier in the process and through better business needs analysis are able to coach our clients to make better business decisions and find solutions that better resolve their business needs· IS Documentation System – responsible for implementation of a system to document all IS processes, resources, applications, people, infrastructure, network elements, reports, and help desk repository
