Rotation 3: Electricity Markets Branch, Infrastructure DivisionKey responsibilities:- Contributing to the Inquiry into the National Electricity Market report - December 2023- Conducting audits on electricity retailers' price change communications to ensure compliance with section 12 of the Electricity Retail Code and the Australian Consumer Law.- Assisting with the confidentiality process regarding information received from retailers under sections 95ZK and 95ZN.- Liaising with domestic and international regulators in the energy market.

Rotation 2: Industry & Consumer Engagement team and LG ESS Battery/Swift Cooktop Recall team, Consumer Product Safety DivisionKey responsibilities:- Contributing to the Offshore Supplier Outreach project which involves educating international and domestic suppliers about Australian product safety standards. - Liaising with external stakeholders such as online marketplaces to ensure compliance with Australian product safety standards, including their management of recalled or unsafe products.- Contributed to processes of the national recall of LG solar batteries and recall of Swift cook tops, including communicating with key parties, analysing data and drafting correspondence and briefs.

Rotation 1: Accreditation team, Consumer Data Right DivisionThe Consumer Data Right (CDR) regime in Australia is a set of rules and regulations that empower consumers to have better control over their personal data held by businesses. It gives consumers the right to access and share their data with trusted third parties, such as other businesses or service providers, in a secure and standardised way. This regime promotes competition and innovation by encouraging businesses to develop new products and services based on consumer data. It further promotes transparency and trust by ensuring that businesses handle consumer data responsibly and with their consent.The Accreditation team plays a crucial role in evaluating and granting accreditation to businesses seeking to participate in the CDR ecosystem. This involves assessing the eligibility and compliance of businesses with the CDR rules and requirements, thoroughly reviewing applications, conducting comprehensive checks and ensuring that accredited businesses have the necessary systems, processes and safeguards in place to protect consumer data. Key responsibilities: - Thoroughly conducted assessments for various accreditation applications from businesses wanting to enter the CDR regime.- Spearheaded the assessment process for a specific application and had the CDR Committee approve my recommendation to accredit the business.- Developed a new efficient process for the 'fit and proper person criteria' assessment using Microsoft Excel and Word.- Organised and chaired CDR Division and Accreditation team meetings, ensuring effective collaboration and progress.- Engaged with external stakeholders to provide guidance and feedback on accreditation requirements.- Provided training to fellow colleagues on how to conduct a 'fit and proper person' assessment.

Commenced early as an Intern before starting the Graduate Program in February 2023. I worked in the Accreditation team within the Consumer Data Right Division.
