Leticia Carrillo has been the Executive Director of the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend since June 2021. Prior to this, Leticia served as a Texas Peace Officer for 18 years and is still currently a Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy with the Brewster County Sheriff’s Office. The majority of those 18 years were spent with the Alpine Police Department as a Patrol Sergeant and with the Brewster County Sheriff’s Office as an SRO Sergeant. For 5 of those years, Leticia was assigned as a HIDTA Task Force Officer with the DEA’s Alpine Office. Prior to attending the police academy, Leticia was a Correctional Officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 5 years.
