• Provide affiliates with expertise and technical support to develop and implement statewide strategies which advance legislative and electoral campaign goals. • Responsible for public affairs consulting, advocacy training, strategic planning, and technical assistance, including: crisis and online communications; earned media; grassroots mobilization; voter/supporter targeting; and, direct voter contact.

• Managed presidential program budget of approximately $40 million dollars and directed national, independent Presidential direct mail program.• Supervised 19 State Directors and 4 Regional Desks during Primary and General Elections and implemented the D.C.-based staffing infrastructure to support the work of the 2008 program. Staff totaled approximately 1,000, including member-canvassers.• Developed the winning strategy for and implemented SEIU’s 2008 national independent expenditure voter contact program targeting the Presidential election, including paid phones, mail and door-to-door voter contact programs.• Managed national independent expenditure voter contact and ballot initiative program budgets.• Responsible for development and implementation of a national comprehensive and strategic approach to independent expenditure voter contact programs and state ballot initiatives. • Worked with national and state partner organizations to ensure effective, efficient and strategic election coordination. • Loaned from the SEIU, during the 2010 election cycle, to manage the Colorado League of Responsible Voters – a collaborative, statewide ballot measure table in Colorado. Raised and managed a budget of over $750,000 necessary for program implementation; built a statewide coalition of over 35 organizations, representing all facets of the Colorado progressive community, which worked to oppose ballot measures which were not in the best interest of the state; and, successfully defeated all five ballot measures the organization opposed in the 2010 election cycle.

• Lobbied Colorado State Legislators on health care, immigration and state employee compensation issues to benefit union membership.• Developed and implemented political campaign strategies intended to elect labor-friendly candidates to political office.• Loaned from SEIU Colorado State Council, during the 2006 election cycle, to manage a Citizens for Colorado, a statewide 527 education fund. Managed a $1.8 million budget and a staff of 12 Field Directors and over 60 canvassers and supervised the independent field operation for 29 targeted State House and Senate races, 26 of which were won.

• Served as liaison between the Campaign and multiple statewide constituency groups, including Democrats, non-profit organizations and the various bar associations.• Managed constituency communications staff.
