About Leticia Socal

Chemist with a Ph.D. in Materials Science, I spent 15+ years in the plastic industry in several roles from Research & Development to Strategy & Market Intelligence.My background in the petrochemical industry inspired me to make a career shift into sustainability after recognizing the impact of plastics in our environment. I am a certified TRUE Zero Waste advisor (https://true.gbci.org) and have experience working in Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of plastic recycling ♻️ technologies, sustainable packaging, and plastic footprint assessment and mitigation.I feel immense fulfillment giving back to my community: learning fresh ideas from startups and helping them grow 🌾; organizing environmental education activities for kids 🏫 - as this is my best investment in our planet; getting together with smart and cool people to create a local Green Market, helping small, local & minority-owned business thrive💥.
