The world of fashion and modelling was so far removed from what I ever imagined my life to be growing up in a small country town in Victoria, but 20 years on and everything has now come full circle to the point where I am now managing the careers of so many incredible models and talents. Beginning with my first photoshoot at the age of 16, taking those photos to an agency (with the idea in my mind that modelling could be a good way to pay myself through University), I was signed and from there everything else snowballed. It wasn't long before I was working internationally and after many years, lots of travelling, and of course now a little older, I found myself in a role on the other side of the desk working for an agency as a model manager and booker. Having experienced all facets of being a model to then managing models, it became apparent to me (and my model BFF, now business partner, Rebecca Lawrence) that there was a need for a fresh approach to model management. A style of management that puts the model, herself, first. That gives her a voice and a say in her career and that working collaboratively as a team to achieve the goals and dreams of our talent would see more success stories and overall talent fulfillment. So in 2018, The Models was born, founded on our beliefs around model well-being, financial transparency, talent worth and collaborative management. The past 5 years have seen these ideals grow and our agency expand to now be representing not only models but also influencers/content creators and high-profile talents. Our beliefs around model training and development, removing any unnecessary costs (ie. we don't run model workshops) and putting our energies into booking our talent has resulted in our team now representing close to 110 talents all around Australia.
