Enjoys working with young learners and has built a career in education teaching various grade levels ranging from preschool through to grade 5. Just completed a role as Learning Support Teacher at the Jakarta Intercultural School, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Worked for over 25 years prior to this at the Lincoln Community School in Accra, Ghana; both as a classroom and learning support teacher. Dyslexia trained.Ethos in education derives from an individual's right to an education - ALL children can learn and have a right and access to quality education which enables confidence building and empowers each learner to face challenges, make meaningful decisions that will positively impact their own lives and the lives of those around them. Also a staunch literacy advocate, committed to supporting the improvement of literacy levels in Ghana by organizing teacher training workshops, setting up and managing and evaluating educational projects, and providing resources to support community libraries. Passionate about reading and set up a Reading and Writing Club for primary and JHS students in 2004. In January 2012.
