Lead all legislative and community efforts to promote optimal health of children in Orange County. Remained well-versed on changes to healthcare, federal regulations, and epidemic diseases. Managed the continuing education program for Pediatricians and lead the grants program to sustain a $1 million annual budget.

Served as the Director of the Government Affairs Department tasked to advocate for 10,000 plus REALTORS at the local, state, and federal levels. Primary focus remained on home ownership, reduced taxes, commercial building, affordable housing, and economic development. Led all efforts to sustain and grow the REALTOR Political Action Committee to endorse and financially support candidates at all levels of government.

Facilitated the local governmental operations of the National Hurricane Recovery program, which was created to assess and fulfill the needs of displaced citizens impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Served as the key liaison between the organization and all local, state and federal elected officials in order to effectively convey the abilities and limitations of the program, as well as advocate for legislation associated with emergency preparedness.

Served as essential policy staff to the Speaker of the House to draft, monitor and analyze legislative bills and resolutions focused on healthcare, economic development and housing. Briefed on a weekly basis, majority and minority party leaders, lobbyists and legislative staff on specific legislation and other important information pertaining to existing and proposed legislative bills.
