Teaches science to 6th grade students and implements ways to include community and student interest into lessons. Labs are conducted on a bi-weekly basis in order for students to learn science by using their hands in addition to their minds. As an NYC Men Teach Mentor, I am responsible for mentoring men of color that have recently entered the teaching profession. My mentoring group consist of six men of color that I meet twice a month. I offer guidance and strategies that help teachers of color successfully navigate the education system. In addition, I am one of the Bronx regional lead mentors for the NYC Men Teach Peer Mentoring group. Thus far, the Mentor Guide that was distributed to the mentors contains contributions I added towards it's completion.

As an adjunct lecturer, I taught first and second year teachers along with prospective teachers how to incorporate the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) into their teaching practices with a focus on Middle School Physics.
