Multi brand Service Manager for Ford, Hyundai and Volvo franchises. Responsible for developing the aftersales customer journey. During my tenure at Bolands Wexford, my overall responsibilities included the following.•Promoting all service activities to ensure the department’s efficient and profitable operation by satisfying customers and enhancing customer relations.•Directing the service department and in particular, control resources and utilise assets at a level commensurate with profit targets.•Achieving departmental profitability through the effective marketing and sale of labour, parts, accessories, lubricants, other charges, subcontracted services and other value added products and services.•Endeavouring to create a positive environment where the department and its team develop and excel.•Working hard to represent and enhance the reputation of Bolands Wexford at every opportunity when interacting with others.

My essential role was as a supply network leader through our distribution centres in both Dublin and Barnsley, UK. I endeavoured to consistently innovate and implement an effective and lean procurement process across all of the categories. The extensive portfolio of car parts, accessories, tools and leisure products offers global customers a potential 12 million SKU's online at micksgarage.com and through multiple marketplace/channel platforms. In the main, I had personal responsibility for the analysis and execution of the Strategic and tactical supply network including logistics but was also very much involved in the operational and JIT model. This, in turn enabled such a wide variety of products to the customer base in partnership with some of the eminent key suppliers/brands in the automotive aftermarket.

It was my brief to constantly develop how we price and categorise parts, accessories and components. Also, to procure them effectively and ensure that all of our suppliers fulfill their part of the requisite "Service Level agreement".  Order status management and manipulation on the companys’ in-house built CRM software was also part of my brief. Dealing with all facets of the customers’ digital journey from credit card payment and fraud screening right through to procurement, order picking, reconciliation, verification and dispatch. The timely and exact acquisition of stock on a daily (JIT) basis in order to fulfill live orders in the most financially prudent fashion. This includes B2B relationships with over 35 suppliers and courier companies to ensure that live orders leave well within the time frame that clients expect. Monitoring, editing and Cross referencing of technical items (Car parts) was also a key part of this role.
