Hi I'm Gemma!I’m a freelance animator and facilitator with over 20 years’ experience within the field of animation. In 2011 I created a company called LET'S ANIMATE, an independent animation studio, where I create my own animations as well as facilitate animation lessons, workshops, sessions and even birthday parties both in-house and on the road. Let’s Animate is devoted to helping everyone experience the delight of the animation process in an enjoyable and engaging way. Aspiring future animators. With Let’s Animate, your show is about to begin. Animation has been a passion of mine from a very young age. As a young girl, I would always be in my room trying to replicate stop-frame animation and build my own models.I wish we had the technology we have now!This passion for animation never dwindled, and in 2007, I completed an animation degree, qualifying with first-class honors. Moving next to a role as a 2D animator at Ragdoll Productions, the makers of Teletubbies and In The Night Garden, followed by working as a freelance animator, creating animations for Nestle, Ladybird, Yahoo, and Munch Bunch.While working as a freelance animator, I became interested in teaching others how to animate.I adore the buzz of inspiring others to be creative.It was this energy and passion that inspired me to open my own animation studio, LET'S ANIMATE.Over the years I have provided many animation workshops to an extensive number of organisations, schools, and individuals, giving everyone the opportunity to try animation as a creative process, whether that be in a short session or full animation course, hundreds of films have been created and many people have been inspired.I have even released an animation kit so you can animate in your own setting!
