My name is Leutsoa Khobotlo, a young Horticulture Activist and Ecopreneur from Maputsoe. I have been actively involved in the Sector for over a decade now, and impacted change in many lives, and challenged the traditional view of Horticulture in my community and abroad. I am serving as an Independent Ecopreneur Consultant. As the year comes to an end, my mission as an expect is to inspire Basotho in many possible ways to make a living by establishing a Community-base Horticulture Club in 10 districts of Lesotho.This will be achieved by: Conducting Monthly Educational Workshops (Climate-Smart Horticulture, Indigenous Knowledge/Methods) with practicals, In-person/ Physical Agribusiness Innovation Mentorship 6 times in 12 months, Horticulture Tours 4 times in 12 months, Provide our Members with Cropping Calender, Sell subsidiced Non-Genetically Modified Seeds, Seedlings, Traditional Pesticides, Fungicides & Fertilizers.Selling subsidized seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides to our Members can be an ideal to promote gardening and self-sustainability. This initiative encourages our Members to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and herbs leading to increased access to fresh produce and potentially reduced grocery expenses. Additionally, it promotes community engagement and create a sense of pride in growing one's own food in Lesotho.
