Currently Medtronic's Wavelet(TM) algorithm reduces inappropriate therapies by about 80%. Artificial intelligence-based learning and adaptive algorithm for the automatic setup of the wavelet based morphology feature in the ICD without physician intervention (U.S. patents 6,745,068, 7,062,315 and 7640064 ). • Developed downloadable software (C, 68HC05 Assembler) and the user interface (C++) for the wavelet based EGM morphology discrimination in the existing platform. The firmware works in real time and is capable of processing morphology for the fastest VTs (ventricular tachyarrhythmias).• Filed patent applications, published abstracts and a manuscript and made presentations at US and international conferences and for Medtronic staff.
