We have been pursuing several entrepreneurial ventures. One involved creating a new healthcare information handling system. Another is related to the development of a global e-marketplace. I have also been working to establish an engineering design center overseas, leveraging my extensive contacts in Russia. We secured a contract from one of the Bay Area startups developing several pieces of their cloud-based operating system for user content control.

Developed and led a first-rate international team that developed Nexenta's Management Stack, the heart of Nexenta's flagship product NexentaStor. Performed various management activities including scheduling, resourcing, and budgeting. Additionally, managed this team's interaction with all other parts of the organization. Expanded this team from 10 people to 35, and helped to establish a small Nexenta office in Krasnodar, Russia, into two large offices in Krasnodar and Saint Petersburg.

Co-developed business model and created business development alliances with several Fortune 500 companies. Hired and trained consultants from Eastern European countries. Responsible for technical leadership and managed engineering staff.

Exeros (acquired by IBM) developed a data integration technology for automatically mapping disparate systems. I was responsible for definition of product requirements, architecture, development and management of the product. Also responsible for creating an outsourcing development center. Evaluated a number of outsourcing companies (mostly Indian and Russian) and interviewed the candidates.

Various projects related to UNIX OSs and web applications.Clients included HP, IBM, Cisco, AOL and Sun.

Primary responsibilities included investigation, design, development, test and maintenance of UNIX standard C libraries and commands to incorporate new operating systems and adapt to future architectures. Additional responsibilities included working with HP-UX technology partners in a consulting capacity on NSS and security related issues, and supported HP-UX libraries including fixing defects, resolving hot sites, creating patches and writing man pages.
