It is a highly complex business with over 450 suppliers, 10.000 products, 15.000 customers and more than 30.000 locations every month. The logistics network includes 8 distribution centers, 250 trucks and 750 personnel. Established a new “Business Transformation” plan that included over 100 new projects in 10 months while growing the company over 50 percent. Some of the major accomplishments were re-branding the G2M brand, designing a new pricing structure to improve gross margins and establishing a new organization structure.

Had full P/L responsibility for 900 million USD revenue for the sales and marketing company in Turkey as well as CIS countries and the Middle East. Managed the Turkish company in one of the toughest periods for the Turkish White Goods and Electronics sector. During this period, the entry of Big-Box retailers such as MediaMarkt and Best Buy; and the entry of asian producers resulted in huge price wars for LCD market share. As of 2010, successfully defended the dealer network in Turkey of 1.000 exclusive stores selling Vestel products and introduced a clear strategy for distribution of group's different brands (Vestel, Regal, Seg, Telefunken and Whirlpool) across different channels. In the face of tough competition, established Vestel as the market leader in a very tough LCD market. Merged the sales organization and the after sales service organization to effectively manage 1.000 dealers and 400 service centers.

Vestel Durable Goods Marketing A.Ş. is the company which is fully responsible for the sales and marketing of white goods and consumer electronics in Turkey. Transformed the company which had 160 million USD revenue through 2.500 mixed dealers and only 80 exclusive stores in 1999 into a company which had 800 million USD revenues in 2005 through 1.200 exclusive Vestel stores and 660 exclusive after-sales service centers in Turkey.Improved the positioning of VESTEL brand in Turkey - according to the Nielsen top-of-mind brand awareness study (2008), Vestel was the sixth most recognized brand in Turkey. Responsible for Domestic Sales, Domestic Marketing, Export Marketing, and Product Development and Design departments totaling 85 million US dollars per year.Responsible for the formation of the Operations Group at Altınyıldız whose mission was to drive the company by incorporating most of the staff functions under one leadership and to work very closely with the Production and Marketing directors. Responsible for Production Planning, Information Systems, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Human Resources, and Special Projects.

After returning to Turkey in 1993, continued to work as a management consultant at Koç Group (Turkey's largest conglomerate) and then as the MIS manager for Aygaz - a member of Koç group and Turkey’s largest LPG distribution company. Defined and implemented an optimization model for distribution of 50 million LPG cylinders from 13 filling plants to 1.300 vendors across Turkey for Aygaz. Designed and implemented a data warehouse and database marketing applications.

As a division of American Airlines (later Sabre), played various roles in developing decision support systems for companies such as American Airlines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Singapore Airlines and Federal Express in areas such as crew planning, flight planning, revenue management etc. Last project which included solving a mathematical model consisting of 100 million variables optimally, was implemented for for Federal Express - 757/DC10 long-haul crew planning system. This system is expected to have saved the company between 3-4 million USD per year in 1992

Worked as a Research Assistant while obtaining my Doctor of Engineering Degree at SMU.

Responsible for the production of the Actuator Assembly in the HARM missile - especially developed to destroy Ground to Air missile centers. Completed flexible circuit-board design and prepared the economic justification study. Performed circuitry evaluation and interfaced with manufacturing to implement design changes.
