I am part of SparkWheel's mission of igniting success in every student by serving the organization through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. SparkWheel provides support services to more than 35,000 students each year in more than 70 schools across Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Missouri. As a member of the Program Operations department, I support SparkWheel's student site coordinators and support staff provide essential resources to students. We do this by nurturing relationships and partnerships across schools and communities to build community resiliency and connectedness. While serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at SparkWheel my goal is to sustainably expand the organization's compacity and develop strategies to use available resources more efficiently.

In this role, I joined the Health Education Resource Office at the University of Kansas to connect with students across campus and educate them about health resources available at the University and in the local community.
