I have 5 years of successful professional experience working in a variety of fields and throughout my collegiate career.During my time at college I was a member of the men's soccer team at Ferrum College. I made dean's list during my first semester at Ferrum before transferring to William Peace University. There I made the dean's list a total of 4 more times and finished my college experience with a 3.4 GPA. All of these accomplishments are something that I am very proud of and I did while also working full-time at Dick's Sporting Goods.At Dick's Sporting Goods I started as a part-time footwear associate. However, quickly after being there I knew I wanted to do more and trained in different departments. Through my hard-work and willingness to learn I was promoted to Sales Leadership Team Lead after 2 years. With that I took on new roles of training new hires on the floor, ensuring tasks were done before closing, and making sure every person who walked through the door was serviced.After leaving Dick's Sporting Goods I spent a school year at Longleaf School of the Arts as an Exceptional Children Teacher. I assisted and managed students with learning disabilities to make sure they were not falling behind in class. It was a really rewarding experience assisting students to make sure everyday was their best day.In my current role as an Intakes Specialist I assist participant's with finding resources for different situations they are going through in their life. I cross-trained into the legal and emergency housing departments to help those who need it the most. I utilize my empathy and willingness to help to ensure each person knows help is on the way for them. Due to this I continually have excellent quality audits of 93% and more every month.
