Growing up in the Midwest the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions traveling is ROADTRIP! I have always enjoyed the road. From driving through small scenic cities, to maneuvering through a packed metropolis, to watching the flow of traffic in rush hour. There is just a simple beauty that can be found in the transportation and connectivity of people through roadways, paths, and developments. This appreciation for the road has lead me to where I am today. I am currently a Senior within the College of Engineering at North Dakota State University pursuing my B.S. in Civil Engineering. Using this degree, I strongly believe that I can impact the everyday lives of others while also connecting communities through means of transportation or site design.I have picked up tons of valuable knowledge and experience through schooling, work, and internships over the years. From working in the field, to sitting at a desk, to talking with clients, and overseeing and coordinating my peers on semester long projects. I have gained valuable skills that I feel will make me a versatile employee.Although my education is almost complete, I never plan to quit learning. After college, my goal is to work in a civil engineering firm dealing with either transportation or civil site design where I can continue learning from my coworkers while also making a positive impact on the communities around me.
