Leading the team that is developing the flight software for the Orion Rendezvous Proximity Operations and Docking sensors. Our work will enable automated and manual docking of the Orion spacecraft.

Systems Engineer on the National Weather Satellite GOES.Lead system level mechanical and electrical testing and supported GOES-R launch operations on console. Served as the GOES-S Spacecraft Anomaly Lead during launch and as systems engineering for LM at Goddard for orbit ops.

• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems.• Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.• Review, evaluate and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.• Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.• Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.• Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

• Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that adhere to technical, schedule, and cost constraints.• Develop ‘Design-to’ requirements for the flight test articles.• Perform trade studies and analyses to prioritize test objectives and incorporation of design attributes into the series of flight test articles.• Perform analysis to develop functional test requirements to design performance and functional testing of the system.• Perform technical analyzes of the complete spacecraft system to determine procedures and processes required to verify test requirements.• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to develop the functional failure modes effects analysis (FFMEA) for each of the flight tests.• Prepare analysis results and present to management, technical boards and customers.• Lead technical interchange meetings (TIM), troubleshooting efforts, and develop alternate test scenarios.

• Conducted research on the use of a UAV mounted laser altimeter for the measurement of freeboard ice thickness and surface roughness.• Research was focused on the effects of in flight dynamics on sensor measurements. Studies included real time simulations of the aerosonde UAV and the Cessna 172P.• This research was used to determine sensor selection, and to ultimately improve the accuracy of free board ice measurements made with the aerosonde UAV over the Arctic Circle.

• Algorithm development and testing for the boost phase KEI (Kinetic Energy Interceptor). • Duties included programming in C/C++ in a UNIX environment, scripting for automating processes, data culling, and algorithm performance analysis.

• Directed over 40 highly successful intelligence-gathering operations in Afghanistan. Recommended for Bronze Star for performance.• Planned and implemented specialized training for over 100 company personnel, while in Korea. Efforts were recognized with Promotion.• Honored as the best soldier in his company during Basic Training and Recognized for outstanding individual performance during advanced job training.• Honor graduate of the Defense Language Institute, Korean Language.
