Nigel's films have gone on to win multiple awards and nominations, including Emmy and RTS. As Series Editor on Formula One: Drive to Survive, he helped deliver Netflix’s highest-profile, biggest budget, unscripted series of the year, leading to its commission for a second season. This follows his successes as series producer, writer and director of numerous documentaries (feature length and 50 min), and high-end drama-docs for all the U.K. channels and multiple global broadcasters. As a producer and director, Nigel is known for creating productions with spectacular visuals combined with intimate, emotional storytelling. His series, Fatal Attractions, conceived as dark, psychological thrillers, was regarded as bringing a new form to Natural History. He has worked with Sir David Attenborough, and in history, arts, science (Emmy nominated feature drama/documentary) biography (featuring Jackie Chan and Joan Chen), current affaires and as series producer/director for Discovery Asia, amongst many others. At the same time, Nigel has forged a parallel career in drama, directing Hollywood Oscar winners in the narrative feature Mothers & Daughters (starring Sharon Stone, Christina Ricci, Mira Sorvino and Courtney Cox). He has recently been collaborating with Oscar-nominated DoP John Mathieson (Gladiator, Logan, X-Men, Mary Queen of Scots) on the development of a feature documentary, as well as having numerous drama projects in development. His expertise is regularly sought out by Oscar and BAFTA-winning production companies as a script doctor on factual singles and series as well as feature documentary and TV, for broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix and Discovery.
