    Following the acquisition of RISI Inc. by Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC in 2017, and the found of its pricing division – Fastmarkets, RISI is now sitting well below Fastmarkets umbrella and rebranded as Fastmarkets RISI. During the process, I was promoted to Country Manager position for Fastmarkets RISI, overseeing all Fastmarkets RISI’s commercial activities in the broader Asia territory. Primary responsibility of the new role includes:• Develop strategies and plans for Fastmarkets RISI in China, and oversee and drive the execution of the overall strategy, to achieve and accelerate revenue growth from a collective efforts of subscription, consulting, events, and etc. in the region. • Work collectively with oversea business managers in a matrix organization to help shape each of their market strategies and product development activities, making sure those are in line with local market demand. • Engage and collaborate with different business partners and supporting teams, to foster Fastmarkets team mentality that promotes alignment, collaboration and optimization of resources, so as to develop a high performing team on the ground, while encouraging employees’ engagement with a broader global team. • Act internally and externally as a champion and ambassador for Fastmarkets RISI business in China/Asia. Represent Fastmarkets RISI in conversations with different stakeholders around our business, from government & industry associations, customerss, partners, vendors, and etc., to identify new development opportunities or avoid potential market or regulatory risks.

The business includes a broad variety of different services, including news & pricing, analytics & forecasts, industry database, cost benchmarking, and industry events and magazine businesses.I was promoted to “Managing Director, China” position in March 2012, and was holding full P&L responsibility over the whole China operation, with two offices in Beijing and Shanghai respectively, accommodating 38 full-time industry professionals.During the period, I managed to successfully turn around our China subscription business that originated from an acquisition. • China domestic revenue surged 5X over the years till 2018, through better integrating with broader RISI global team, improvement of legacy products, new product development, better go-to-market strategy, launch of new industry events, and build-up of consulting capability, and etc.• Besides revenue/profit data, China business is also in a much better and healthier position, with very robust sales pipeline - average order value around 10X vs. pre- changes, and even though many new product development activities the business still remains a much leaner product mix: downsizing # of major subscription offerings by 60-70%;• Apart from the regular subscription business, I’ve also set up a very successful China event strategy, and launched 3 new recurring industry events – China Recovered Paper, Asia Pacific Nonwovens/Hygiene, and China Packaging, all of which have seen very steady growth till today;• Besides, through leveraging both internal and external resources, I’ve also managed to build up company’s capability to sell and deliver consulting services, which is critical for any info service companies in China, given the comparatively lack of in-house analytical skills with domestic Chinese companies. Company now among the top pick for industry consultancy works in the region.
