1. Lead Brenthaven in Asia for sourcing and supplier quality to drive productivity, delivery, quality, innovation and cost reductions. Risk management with multiple suppliers.2. Cooperate with design team on the product development to ensure products have required functionality/design needs, shorten sampling rounds to speed up to market. 3. Role & Responsibilities• Report to Samsonite USA and Canada Product Development Manager (Chinese in Shenzhen office) on China production for soft and hard luggage and leather briefcase. • Communicate with nominated China luggage factories, ensuring that:1. All design files are understood by China factories product development and production teams2. Material and commercial production costing structures are clearly understood and accepted3. Commercial salesman samples are produced in time for market introduction• Travel to China factories with designer and sales to develop new product to meet target price and market demand.• Partner Samsonite QC team on pre-production meeting, review the pilot run samples.• Arrange testing of raw materials and finished product by Samsonite-owned lab, to ensure quality and standard meet Samsonite's requirementsMajor Accomplishments• Managed 31 projects, covering luggage, computer briefcase and rolling tote products• Helped to manage 21 factories, of which 11 were new factories that required training to meet Samsonite's quality standards• Co-ordinated with production and quality team to achieve on-time delivery shipment to Samsonite Latin American marketproducts include: soft side luggage, hard side luggage, mobile office, laptop shoulder case, sleeve and backpack etc.

Role & Responsibilities:• Report to Director of Sourcing and Production (Hongkongese in Shenzhen office) on China production activities for Tumi core-line collection (nylon/leather luggage/case) and fashion bags• Manage and solve factory production issues for commercial order shipment to US, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand markets.• Coordinate with Tumi Product Development on cost-saving programs with material vendors and factories.Major Accomplishments:• Managed estimated US$12,000,000 FOB shipment value.• Shipped over 270 containers (approximately 890,000 pieces), and reduced 20% freight by co-loading initiative• Manage weekly shipment for 11 nominated China factories in North (Kunshan and Changshu) and South China (Shenzhen, Dongugan and Zhongshan) luggage and bag production areas• Cost-saving of US$1,400,000 in 2009 exceeded target by 39%• Processed over 1100 orders and more than 400 product items

Role & Responsibilities• Report to Merchandising Manager (American in Shenzhen office) for the product development and production of cosmetic bags and accessories• Coordinate product development and sample production activities with US HQ and China/Philippines factories• Manage production order and support QC to inspect factories production.• Supervise materials sourcing, purchasing and order management of company-owned Philippine factory.
