I help support the ER team as we tackle several major initiatives across 5 areas that will profoundly impact post-secondary education in the province of Manitoba.

A fun, fast-paced and high-profile department that liaises closely with 137 of Manitoba's municipalities; including the City of Winnipeg with responsibility for Federal-Provincial infrastructure agreements. Regular engagement with industry stakeholder groups, public interest organizations were key factors in my success in this role Highlights include:Bill 30: Local Vehicle for Hire Act which legalized ridesharing in Manitoba and increased the number of cab licenses in the City of Winnipeg for the first time since 1947Bill 2: Introduction of a comprehensive regulatory framework to address harassment at the municipal level

Senior political adviser to the Minister of Education and Training for the Province of Manitoba. In this role, I worked closely with Manitoba's post-secondary institutions; immigration stakeholders, industry groups, K-12 professional associations and public sector unions. Highlights include: Reform of Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program to eliminate a 4-year application backlog and refocus the program on addressing labour market needs; creation of a international student immigration stream. Bill 15: Enhanced sexual violence awareness and prevention framework for post-secondary and private vocational institutions

As a Chemical Analyst I conducted field sample collection as well as performed instrumental analyses in support of the on-site water treatment plant. I collaborated with my colleagues on weekly, monthly and quarterly regulatory reports to the Ministry of Environment. I also helped maintain the mine site's Certificate of Laboratory Proficiency as per the Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation (CALA) through semi-annual proficiency testing. Additionally, my responsibilities included QA/QC duties, chemical inventory control and the troubleshooting of equipment and analytical instruments.
