Scope: development of perception and mission planning systems for robotic devices.By the interface from the Control and Robotics Laboratory (ITVRoC) of the ITV, I worked on the developments for the final stage of the DARPA Robotics Challenge (September 2021).Main activities: - Algorithms for detecting stairs;- Algorithms for locating devices through WiFi signal. The activities were developed using ROS (Robotic Operating System), in Python and C++ programming language.

Scope: development of navigation and control systems applied to robotic systems.During this period, I was a member of the ARIEL project (Autonomous Robot for Identification of Emulsified Liquids). This project aims to perform the detection of oil spills in aquatic environments, using collaborative autonomous robots (drone and boat) for the execution of this activity.Main activities:- Development of graphical user interface (GUI) using C ++ and QT Creator;- Development of deep learning system for oil detection;- Computer vision system development for pose estimation;- Drone pilot.All these tasks are performed using ROS.The project was awarded by the Brazilian Petroleum National Agency in 2020 in the category “Reducing Environmental Impacts and Renewable Energies”.

Scope: development of robotic systems applied to mining.During this period, I was a member of ITVRoC, which is focused on research applied to mining.Main activities:- Development of research applied to mobile robotics in the area of ​​Computer Vision, with emphasis on 3D reconstruction/environment mapping and also the use of deep learning techniques for pattern detection;- Participation in robotic inspections, with participation in fieldwork using both land and aerial robots;- Participation in the development group of EspeleoRobô, a terrestrial robot used in confined space inspections;- Responsible for managing and piloting drones.In addition, as extension activities were:- Provided mini-courses and lectures on 3D Reconstruction Techniques and Drone Operation;- 3D reconstructions of historic sites in Ouro Preto - MG.

Intensive English exchange student in Toronto, Canada, where besides classes and language improvement, I was able to learn cultural experiences with local and foreign students from different parts of the world.

As an industrial technician, I was directly responsible for the development and supervision of production and processes focused on safety and quality. Routine management activities were performed, such as: tests, training, scheduled maintenance and purchases. I have gained experience in training, qualification and monitoring of operators with the application of safety, quality and production tools. Among these activities we can mention: security walks in the productive areas; creation / application of new production techniques, safer and more efficient; participation in workshops to integrate production to techniques, applying concepts of Lean Manufacturing and 5S. I monitored financial spreadsheets for inputs, with a focus on reducing unit costs and increasing productivity, as well as actively participated in groups targeting continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, production and processes.Results:- Participation of the Valens and LS 2.0 program with the objective of reducing production costs, with savings of R $ 1.2 million for the years 2016 and 2017; - Active leadership in the routine management groups of the Coupling Shop, working on daily problems, with a resolution rate of 85%; - Development of the monitoring (supervisory) system and automation of the phosphatization process, reducing breakdown by 40%;- Participation of the group restructuring the layout of the Coupling Shop, with active leadership in the finishing area. In this group, using the methodology of Lean Manufacturing, it was possible to increase production in 60% of the factory;- Active leadership in the Lean Manufacturing groups in the processes of the finishing area of the Coupling Shop, increasing the production in the process of phosphating and painting in 30% and 80%, respectively; - Responsible for the validation of the phosphatization process, making it the Benchmark of the Vallourec group.

The discipline of physics has become a burden for high school students, mainly due to the lack of previous knowledge of mathematical tools relevant to the assimilation of the problems addressed.However, when students experience physics and/or associate it with their daily life through laboratory practices, or even seminars, lectures and jokes, the knowledge flows spontaneously.Within this perspective, we intend to set up a group to produce experiments, make observations of physical phenomena, create educational software and disseminate them inside and outside the Cefet-MG teaching institution. Students involved should attend workshops and events related to the research topic.
