As a dedicated public servant, I have over twelve years' experience in investigations and federal court litigation. I am passionate about uncovering the truth through investigations, pursuing justice in court, and sharing my knowledge and experience with others through teaching.I had the privilege of beginning my legal career clerking for and learning from two esteemed federal Judges at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. I then served in the Department of Homeland Security, where I advised office leadership, supervised investigations, and litigated in the areas of immigration and national security law. For the last six years, I have served as a federal prosecutor in Fort Worth, Texas, where I have successfully investigated and prosecution over 400 federal criminal cases, reflecting a deep understanding of criminal law and federal courts. As a die-hard Aggie, I have also had the privilege of teaching aspiring Aggie Lawyers as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas A&M University School of Law, where I teach upper-level courses on federal sentencing and white-collar crime.Some of my favorite experiences include advising law enforcement agents and officers in complex criminal investigations. I particularly enjoy proactive undercover investigations, and I have taught on the subject of undercover investigations at the ATF"s Advanced Undercover School at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Another aspect of my work that I enjoy is grappling with the competing factors and considerations at play in the criminal sentencing process.
