I am an educator, entrepreneur, author, inclusivity advocate and consultant with experience helping organizations grow, innovate and translate ideas to products and services. While Dean and chief executive officer of the University of Delaware College of Engineering, I led a transformative cultural shift and reorganization that resulted in record revenue, enrollment, diversity, research productivity, fundraising and U.S. News & World Report rank (No. 22 among publics). With expertise in chemical and materials engineering, catalysis, energy storage, and power management, I co-founded two venture-backed companies and served on several boards. As founding CEO of T/J Technologies and Inmatech, I recruited the leadership teams and set the key strategic goals, achieving incredible success with an exit via acquisition of T/J by A123 Systems that supported an eventual $1.9B IPO.
