I am a qualified and experienced Chemist, and laboratory Supervisor. I have a through understanding of correct sampling procedures, sample preparation procedures and many analytical techniques. I have experience in performing a wide variety of test methods.I am able to ensure that results released are valid and timely, that issues are overcome in a timely manner, that instruments have been maintained routinely to minimize downtime, that workload is prioritized correctly and that resources including consumable items are available when needed. Maintaining a safe working environment is very important to me.I love to work with laboratory instruments. I have used, calibrated, problem solved and performed basic maintenance on variety of instruments including an UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Carbon and Sulfur ELTRA CS-580A Analyzer, AC 500 LECO Bomb calorimeter, S144 LECO Sulfur analyzer, Partical Size analyzer and many others.I have been involved withsetting up the new laboratory. I am involved in developing and validating the test methods and continual improvement plus the day to day operation of the laboratory and supervison of laboratory technicians and lab samplers.I have over 7 years of experience directly supervising team members and over 8 years of experience in lab leadership. I directly supervise a team of 16, i place importance on being supportive, developing team members and helping them reach their full potential if that is they wish.

• Boiler water chemistry involving the quality of water as it flows from one stage to another, from the Demineralization Plant (DM Plant) to the Steam boiler through the turbines to the condenser, Cooling Tower and back to the boiler.• Qualitative and Qualitative analysis such as Silica, Phosphate, Iron, Hydrazine etc. using UV Spectrophotometer.• Preparation of all working reagents and standard solution• Calibration of all laboratory equipment such as UV Spectrometer, PH meter, Turbidity meter, Conductivity meter, Bomb Calorimeter.• Determination of Silica, Phosphate, Hydrazine, Iron, Sodium in the Steam Boiler and Cooling water samples by UV Spectrometer and Flame Photometer.• Thermo Gravimetric /Lose of ignition (LOI) analysis of coal and Fly ash samples.• Proximate analysis of Feed coal samples such as volatile matter( V.M), Gross caloric Value (GCV), Ash percentage, Moisture content and Fixed Carbon (f.c)Duties as Water Treatment Plant Operator (Demineralization plant, Dangote) • Operation of a fully automated Demineralisation plant at the water treatment plant section.• Quality control and regeneration of all ion exchangers such as Cationic (strong acid cation SAC) and Anion (strong base anion SBA), Mixed Bed (MB) and Base Exchangers (BE)• Operation of the Reverse Osmosis plant including backwash standards• Full operation of the softener plant in auto or manual mode• Backwashing of all multi grade filters (MGF)• Reverse Osmosis membrane cleaning
