Beginning with my degree in Veterinary Bacteriology, a passion for animal science and nutrition has defined my career. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a healthier pet industry through my corporate leadership roles, numerous publications on various topics related to animal science, and extensive involvement with non-profit organizations.I currently serve as the Executive Vice President of the International Markets Division at PetAg, Inc. In this role, I have developed distribution for animal products across 73 markets in 6 continents. Some of my proudest contributions to the pet industry have come from my involvement with non-profits. For 16 years, I served as a board member of the Pet Care Trust, a non-profit public foundation dedicated to the support of companion animal welfare. During this time, I was instrumental in developing the Pets in the Classroom grant program. The mission of this program is to provide funding for teachers to purchase and care for classroom pets as educational inspiration for students. Thanks to over 70,000 grants through Pets in the Classroom, more than 3 million children have experienced the joy of animal companionship. I also serve as a board member and Chairman of the World Pet Association (WPA), which aims to bring together product suppliers and pet owners. I was recently honored to receive the 2015 Pet Age ICON Award for my involvement in the WPA. I reside in the Chicago area and enjoy fishing, boating, classical music, singing, and reading in my spare time.
