Deliver an integrated and effective end-to-end experience for all of Sun's customer-facing web properties.Managed web visual design, user experience, information architecture, component-based web technology, end-to-end experience evaluation, voice of the customer, usability testing, experience-based web strategy definition, Sun web standards and best practices. Aligned these disciplines with business, web publishing and web engineering teams to translate business requirements into an online experience to fuel a growing number of active customer connections with Sun.

Focused on improving the end-to-end experience we deliver to all of our customers, partners, web visitors and members of Sun's online communities.Developed an experience lifecycle methodology to identify key touch points across the entire customer experience. Promoted and applied the methodology with divisions within Sun to synchronize and apply limited resources on fixing high-priority issues. Defined a new Connected Student strategy to help grow future engagement with the student community. Managed the delivery of experience-focused improvements in many program and product areas by applying web best practices and an end-to-end experience evaluation methodology for scoring and communicating recommended changes.

Developed and managed a comprehensive operating methodology for several different software product teams starting with the 350+ person Solaris organization culminating with the 5000+ person software group. Key aspects of the methodology included annual planning, executive communication, Customer Briefing Center speaker coordination, capital budget management, product release management, steering committee processes and VP staff personnel management tasks. Responsibilities and scope were similar over the different roles but each opportunity grew in organizational scope and complexity over the previous.

Project lead for the Java Studio Page Editor, an HTML WYSIWYG editor. Designed, developed and maintained Sun’s common licensing library and license installation tool. Organized and motivated a cross-business unit team to standardize the use of the common licensing library across all of Sun’s software development tools.

Provided direct customer support, distributed license tokens and supplied pre sales and post sales support.Developed features for Equal, a software application adapter that allowed users to run Microsoft Word and Excel on UNIX platforms. Demonstrated product’s capabilities at trade shows.

Held a variety of software development positions focused on product release management, defect tracking, installation tools and general product feature development. Ultimately designed and developed a standalone software application which enabled users to manage different versions of source code files using a graphical user interface. This application was released as part of Sun’s Teamware product.
