Una is a modular repairable GPS sports watch. Una has been built with sustainability in mind and can be easily repaired or upgraded at home.

I am responsible for the electronics design of Shot Scope golf products as well as leading the team developing our online player dashboard and mobile applications.The Shot Scope wristband can automatically identify where golfers play each shot on the golf course and provides statistics previously only available to professional golfers.

Developing Shot Scope's Club Sense technology and PCB design with GPS, Bluetooth, RFID and accelerometer components.

Alpha Data's FPGA boards are widely used in the defence, aerospace and imaging industries. As a hardware design engineer at Alpha Data, I was responsible for designing and managing new circuit boards from requirements specification through to delivery.I also carried out FPGA development in VHDL and I'm very familiar with Xilinx FPGA tools.

This placement was carried out as part of the final year of my Masters degree at Edinburgh University and counted significantly towards my degree grade.I received the IEEE Project Prize for my final report entitled "Behavioural Processing of Mobile Subscriber Data, based on Mobile Web Browsing Activity".I developed a C# application to profile the historic interests and current activities of mobile users, using various text analysis algorithms. Working with a partner company I also demonstrated how the application could be used to delivery personally relevant ads to the mobile subscriber.
