Project Manager, Vegetables For All
Managed EUR 8 million Dutch MFA funded ‘’Vegetables for All’’ consortium project implemented in Northern Tanzania. The project worked to create a sustainable vegetable value chain in Northern Tanzania. • Led work planning, budget, and forecasting, and oversaw implementation.• Managed service providers and ensuring that the project delivers to the agreed output level• Oversaw a 10-month demand creation campaign aimed at promoting dietary diversity through increased consumption of vegetables. 6000 people were reached —exceeding the target of 4000 with 90 cooking demos and nutrition messages, 40,000 pupils were reached, 90 nutrition clubs were formed. 103 audio messages were developed and approximately 4 million people were reached via radio messages across northern Tanzania.• Facilitated a nutrient retention study of select dried vegetables (amaranth) to make case for the use of solar dryers to ensure all-year-round availability of vegetables.• Led the development of a learning document, to document lessons learned from implementing public-private partnership/consortium projects• Developed all annual and final project and donor reports. Exceeded forecasts for all quarters.
