As Director of Real World Evidence I am part of the executive team at Arcturis to help drive the strategy and goals of the company. I conducted my PhD as part of the Life and Medical Science School at the University of Hertfordshire.Using data from the Early Rheumatoid Arthritis Study (ERAS) and Early Rheumatoid Arthritis Network (ERAN), two of the largest early rheumatoid arthritis cohorts studies in the UK, I investigated the progression of structural joint damage in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Structural joint damage is a primary and important outcome measure in rheumatoid arthritis, and is largely used in clinical trials to measure the efficacy of new treatment regimes. Modelling the natural course of joint damage in observational cohort data poses many challenges, which I explored as part of my PhD. Mainly using Stata statistical software, I looked at complex modelling techniques to analyse this data and published my findings in peer-reviewed medical journals, in order to disseminate my results to the wider evidence base.

Provided advice to local NHS health professionals on designing clinical research and applying for external research grant awards, namely those provided by the NIHR programmes. I was a specialist expert in the design of clinical trials and quantitative statistics.
