Human Factors Engineer providing the delivery of work packages in support of design and safety assurance programmes, focusing on Human Interaction within complex systems. Key responsibilities include: - Nuclear safety case and design. - Review and critique of concept and existing design. - Creation and live management of Human Factors Integration Plans (HFIP) and initial project set up.- Ensuring timely Human Factors Integration into equipment and system designs. - Interfacing with the Safety and Engineering teams to ensure the incorporation of Human Factors requirements in design. - Tracking of Human Factors issues raised with design through closure utilising suitable Human Factors Issues Registers (HFIR), demonstrating control and management through design lifecycle. - Preparation of Human Factors documentation demonstrating the role of the operator in maintaining safe operation for Nuclear Safety cases. - Undertaking Human Factors assessments to inform design and support both qualitative and quantitative Human Error assessment. - As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) assessments. - Human Factors SME within HAZard IDentification (HAZID) & HAZard and OPerability (HAZOP) studies.
