Part of the long term maintenance team (LTM). After a fire in 2023, we are busy restoring and rebuilding AVR with all new installations.

Supervised a maintenance engineering team through daily planned and reactive maintenance. Planned and helped manage the larger shutdown periods. Achieved high availability levels that were tracked through a new CMMS system that we successfully integrated. Expanded the team and started team involvement in project work. Managed contractors for various work scopes across engineering disciplines.

Technical Absorbents creates a super absorbent fibre (SAF) for use in a multitude of applications like medical, food and cable needs. Non-woven fabrics are also manufactured on-site using a mixture of SAF and other fibre that can be implemented into items like clothing.As part of the engineering team, my focus is in ensuring the output of the facility can be improved. This is being achieved through implementation of a CMMS, overhauling of site stocks, simplification of processes, design and installation of better and improved features.My current skillset allows for me to adapt to a wide variety of challenging situations within electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and instrumentation.

RDC is a metal casting foundry creating iron and steel castings catering for all types of businesses. Castings range in weights from tens of kilograms to over 7 tonnes. My Role on-site as part of the engineering team involved:- Maintaining production machinery, cranes, induction furnaces (reactive and preventative)- Reacting to breakdowns in a systematic and safe approach- Manage pneumatic systems and electrical facilities on site to facilitate business requirements- Record all reactive and preventative maintenance completed- Designing, planning, installing and modifying electrical systems- Keeping spares stocked, tidy and modifying it to accommodate more stock options- Helping to ensure environmental, health and safety and plant production targets are met- Organising all engineering diagrams for ease of access- Ensuring all modifications made to electrical systems are recorded correctly on wiring diagrams

Quartzelec Grimsby is a rotating machine repair specialist business. They can repair a variety of rotating electrical machines, while also having facilities to help out customers on their own sites with any issues they may be facing with their equipment.My apprenticeship here involved:- Overhauling rotating machinery; single-phase & three-phase AC motors, DC motors, pumps, extraction fans and gearboxes (Includes inspections, refurbishing and replacing parts)- Static and live electrical testing of rotating machinery up to 3.3KV using various electrical testing equipment like voltage detectors/proving unit, multimeter, insulation tester and baker tester- On-site maintenance, repair, removal, fitting and testing of motors, pumps and gearboxes (FMCG, industrial and some commercial businesses)- Contractual work for waste-water treatment plants including electrical motor and gearbox maintenance, lighting installation and documenting rotating machinery for their records- Working on hazardous area motors (Mainly Ex-n and Ex-d) ensuring all spigots are in a good condition within a specific tolerance related to motor size. This was done using measurement tools like calipers and depth gauges.- Creating detailed job cards for all work completed including; electrical test results, bearing sizes, bearing housing and bearing seat conditions and any further work completed or required- Creating customer reports detailing inspection results, repairs required and overall work scope
