I am responsible for the planning, delivery, support and feedback for the leadership specialist pathway for MA in Education students. I look forward to being able to promote not only leadership, but also followership to the students and encourage them to challenge their existing understandings of what makes a good leader. The hope is they can reflect on our discussions and make meaningful changes in their own organisations as a result.I am passionate abut promoting leadership at all levels of organisations, particularly in education and the early childhood education and care part of this field. I share insights with the students from my other responsibilities and I hope this brings a unique and varied perspective to their studies.

TACTYC was founded in 1978 by a group of early years teacher trainers who recognised how isolated they were feeling in their work and how supportive and developmental it could be to come together with others in a similar position on a regular basis. Today, TACTYC has broadened its base to welcome people from a wide range of early years backgrounds; early years researchers, education consultants and professionals working with children and families in day-care, education, health, play work and social service contexts. TACTYC also warmly welcomes students from across these areas.

Early Education and Childcare has always been a passion of mine and initially this was through holiday schemes for young children. Over the past 10 years I have gained the experience and knowledge needed to effectively start my own business, developing children and young people outside the school setting and developing a successful nursery provision for children from 9 months old. I am always looking to provide the children that attend with new opportunities and experiences. It's a lot of work but it's very rewarding and I absolutely love it!

World Bringer, definitely my most exciting job title yet. I am responsible for introducing schools to our web app that can teach their pupils programming in an innovative and fun way. Our web app gets children to create their own worlds that can literally contain anything, using the programming skills they learn through our interactive tutorials. Hence my job title. As well getting schools to trial and later purchase the web app I am responsible for training the teachers that oversee the lessons. Codeletics is a self-organised learning environment bit of course it's important the teachers have an understanding of this new and exciting skill.

Straight out of University I was very fortunate to get this job, which was a promotion from my work placement role with the school. As well as taking on more responsibility with assisting the running of the special needs and pupil services in the school I also taught ICT and PSE. Both of which presented new challenges and experiences for me. I also was responsible for overseeing our team of Learning Support Assistants who are the hard working frontline of support for children with learning difficulties in the school. I will definitely miss the eventful and unpredictable days we had as a team.
