Responsibilities: Responsible for building, testing, releasing and maintaining code across many different stacks including full stack web development, desktop applications, and IoT device firmware. The small team setup has allowed me to wear many hats, including full stack software engineer, firmware developer, level 2 technical support, DevOps engineer, systems administrator, and cloud administrator.Key contributions:● Designed and implemented a CI/CD tool from scratch utilizing the JavaScript Playwright library incorporated into an Azure DevOps pipeline. The load testing feature of this tool allowed the company to load test the implementation of an auto-scaling strategy, which ultimately reduced total cloud app service costs by 32% (reduced nighttime costs by two thirds and reduced daytime costs by one third) and reduced latency.● Leading the development of a cloud-based remote keypad feature for IoT devices, which will replace a critical customer feature that is currently underpinned by insecure legacy code. This project required close collaboration with firmware and web developers, leveraging in-depth knowledge of ASP .NET Core, React, and C.● Reduced device provisioning time by 95% (from ~7 minutes to 20 seconds), by automating a manual process with the release of an internal company desktop application. This application utilized python scripting, API calls, and the remote execution of SSH commands.● Provided level 1 support staff with IoT application software which enabled them to identify devices at risk of overheating, by viewing the real-time and historical trends of CPU temperature. IoT application software was delivered using Node.js, NodeRED, and SQL databases, and IoT firmware was delivered using C.● Developed firmware for Linux-based IoT devices, applying in-depth knowledge of kernel features and system-level operations. Implemented Bash scripts for Linux servers for automating backups and patching, thus successfully safeguarding business data.

Responsibilities: Demonstrated both leadership and technical skills by guiding a team of interns through each project phase, delivering a high-quality prototype application under tight deadlines.Technology Landscape: This industry project, facilitated through Macquarie University’s PACE program and sponsored by ANSTO. The project involved creating a prototype software solution combining a Python (Django API) backend, SQL database, and a React frontend. Key contributions:• Delivered the final proof-of-concept software which emphasized interactive data visualization and responsive design, using the latest technologies to deliver a tool that achieved a 9/10 evaluation from ANSTO for its innovation and usability.• Led Agile meetings for a collaborative project, managed backlogs, and liaised with stakeholders at ANSTO to align our software product with evolving requirements.• Presented industry-standard documentation to stakeholders, including software requirements specifications, scopes of work, user manuals, and a test plan.
