Lewis is a graduate from the University of York with a master’s degree in Physics. He has always shown an interest in business, proven by his role as a young teenager in stocktaking for Canon Barbers and his choice to complete a BTEC in Business Studies. He has developed a keen technological mind, this is made evident by his ability to build computers and write code in multiple programming languages. This has made the Data team at The AA an excellent start for his career. Lewis is a meticulous individual as shown by his high level of performance on very detail-oriented tasks such as producing financial data for tax audits and involvement in multiple major incident solutions.As proven during his time as an MI analyst and during a degree in Physics, Lewis can communicate complex information in both a written and verbal form, developing the confidence to present to stakeholders and senior leaders. Lewis’ Physics degree was instrumental in his personal development, particularly in problem solving. He thrives on being part of a team, shown by his exemplary work as a signatory and treasurer for the University of York Darts Club. He copes well under pressure and can create data-driven and logical solutions in difficult situations, such as major incidents. His degree included a coding module (Python) and laboratory work amounting to four years analysing and interpreting data, always with a view to the bigger picture. This has been furthered in his role as an MI analyst by working with new programming languages and company data to drive insights and add value.
