Facilitated the creation of research tools and software for PhD students and external companies via the University of Southampton. Designed & manufactured a wide variety of projects from conceptual ideas, all the way through to real-world production. Key Projects:The Wisdom & Madness of Crowds: Adapted an online web simulation into a research-focussed game, aimed at understanding how peoples' strategies change over time in an influence maximisation game under adversarial settings. Modified existing JS/HTML/CSS, and incorporated jQuery, Chart.js to the frontend. Created a backend server with Node.js, Express.js and PostgreSQL, hosted on the Heroku platform.Flood Resilience Visualisation: Acted as Data Analyst & Data Visualisation Engineer on a project working with UoS's ARGOS project, LSE and multiple aid charities worldwide. Produce a webapp to display data regarding key metrics for flood resilience in at-risk communities, to inform and adapt organisational operations and low-level Government strategies in order to best protect communities with limited resources. Tech Stack: JS, jQuery, Chart.js, D3.js, Node.js, Express.js, SQL Server, Apache, Ubuntu Server.Global Shipping Simulation: Acted as Lead Data Scientist for a contract with a large maritime shipping company to facilitate research on, and create a simulation for maximising speed & carbon production efficiency in global shipping under several domain-specific constraints. I was able to provide insights from noisy & partially erroneous data, and reduced incorrect port classifications entirely, significantly improving the simulation's performance.

Leading and facilitating virtual workshops and engagement sessions for underrepresented communities in tech, consisting of female (cis and trans) and non-binary students. Girls Who Code's Summer Internship Program gives these women a strong start to their computer science careers with an introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as furthering their integration into tech culture through workshops of famous female scientists & entrepreneurs, and real live panel sessions with women in industry.
