I currently occupy a Project Management Assistant role for the New Entrants Team within IP Engineering reporting to the New Entrants Team lead and have previous experience of line management for forty trainees. I currently look after the Star Track - Track design trainee programme & also the IP Signalling apprenticeship scheme. In the past I’ve also coordinated the Arkwright Scholarship scheme which nurtures and brings through the next generation of leaders in engineering. The main element of my role is to monitor and guide all track design trainees through their 2 years to complete their technical passport/logbook, Complete and Pass foundation degree in railway engineering and sit their I.C.E or PWI Technician Review. Upon Completion they will become assistant track design engineers in their prospective companies. I am also working with IP Signalling engineers in which they follow the same route as the maintenance apprentices. Monitor and guide them through worksheets and to hold quarterly one to one reviews and arrange training events at Sultan. Other responsibilities of my role are as follows :- • Liaison with Sheffield Hallam and planning of programme for Star Track.• Organising ad hoc Courses• Liaising with external partner companies• Coordinating the BI-Annual Track Conferences in Collaboration with the I.C.E & PWI• Planning and organising of Recruitment Centres for Star Track & IP Signalling.• Assessing at the Star Track Recruitment centre• Coordinating Track Maintenance/Renewals placements & Site Visits. • Creating & Updating Project plans • Booking Travel and Accommodation requests• Scheduling Steering Group Meetings and other Meetings.• Supporting Educational events for the I.C.E regional events• Updating Trainee Trackers• Budget Reporting.• Minute taking • Raising PO`s on Oracle• Monitor Star Track & IP Signalling Trainees
