Responsible for meeting productivity and production objectives by supervising Assistant Coordinators and Supervisors as well as Supported Employees. Providing technical expertise, leadership, and oversight of daily and weekly production activities in Activ’s timber manufacturing social enterprise. The role ensures optimal allocation of resources for both short-term and long-term planning, ensuring that production is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant safety and technical standards.

· Production planning which involves planning production of stock product and orders for timber telegraph/telecom poles· Leadership and man management of a small team of staff members on a daily basis – Includes resource planning, recruitment, shift planning, staff appraisals and staff development. Daily staff briefings and weekly health and safety meetings chaired.· Performance monitoring and management in accordance to production plans and expected efficiencies· Identify areas to improve with regards to safety and process efficiencies – (IOSHH qualification held and lean management qualification held)· Ensure operations are running in accordance to SSOW, business management system and quality systems.· Driver of the desired business culture and health and safety focus· Deputies Production Manager including chairing sales/operations meetings to identify opportunities and caveats to the business on a weekly basis.· Confined Space Supervisor

· Produce telegraph and telecom poles to industry quality and safety standards, and customer specification, through understanding technical drawings.· Safely use a range of power and hand tools, including chainsaws, to manufacture the products.· Cover for the absence of the quality controller (this included quality inspections, data analyses and data inputting).· Valued member of the Business Improvement Team looking for ways of reducing waste within the business.· Contribute towards the business’s KPI’s and report product progress daily to the supervisor.
