We are searching for a HR Specialist to join our team supporting the UK. • To ensure that the advice and support given to managers is consistent, commercial, timely and appropriate based on risk analysis • To proactively develop working relationships and open communication channels with managers to ensure that issues are highlighted at an early stage • To encourage managers to deal with issues and related correspondence in a timely manner• To monitor the progress of cases and keep in touch with managers until they are concluded• To review letters and documents prepared by managers and provide feedback on where changes may be needed• To work closely with managers to ensure that long-term sickness absence cases are dealt with compassionately and effectively, with timely referral to Occupational Health• To assist with the development of the City Link HR intranet pages as an effective tier 0 management tool• To assist with the design, development and delivery of employee relations training and workshops • To support the implementation of change programmes, including generating documentation and maintaining accurate records• To assist in the review and development of HR policies, procedures, manager guidance and template letters• To assist with producing management information, as required• To keep electronic records up-to-date, including the case load tracker and to ensure copies of all documents relating to individuals are saved on their electronic personal files in a timely manner• Act as a coach/mentor to less experienced colleagues• Support colleagues experiencing peaks of work• To undertake any other reasonable duties and/or hours of work consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job
