During this tenure, I was directly responsible for the coordination and control of a team of around 110 people to meet my commander's intent. A swift deployment overseas to meet the demands of global geopolitics saw the delivery of a deep rehabilitation of military equipment previously in storage. This deployment required excellent management, deep technical understanding and wise data driven planning to ensure success.Driving efficiencies whilst in austere conditions and working long hours required a vast array of motivational tools to be used to ensure the best possible product was delivered to the front line.

I helped deliver and coordinate technical training to Phase 2 Soldiers in the REME during this tenure. Ensuring the Soldiers met the technical requirements to complete their NVQ whilst surpassing the standards of Ofsted required strong written and verbal communication, good time management and the ability for conflict resolution. Managing particularly challenging individuals required a firm but fair and sensitive leadership style to ensure the best output for the individual and organisation.

I deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina as the company operations Officer in a multinational headquarters. Prior to the deployment I had the responsibility of ensuring all 105 personnel were trained to the correct standard to work in a challenging environment with other NATO forces, posing risk to life and reputation. Developing the soft skills required to enhance and improved relationships with host nation forces and local government agencies also increased the training burden.Whilst deployed I had control of the operations room, this task required dynamic problem solving, strong communication methods (not just in English) and the ability to adapt to achieve the desired goal. Additionally, during this deployment I was the lead engineer for a new public order modification on the Foxhound Vehicle platform. I had to understand and balance the risk to life, equipment and mission. Post deployment I wrote a detailed technical report highlighting areas for improvement for future deployments.

During this tenure I maintained command of up 50 personnel in a high readiness environment. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, 1) bespoke career management for a diverse trade team, requiring strong written and verbal communication methods. 2) Plan and deconflict workforce and resources based upon dynamic priority changes. 3) Inspire and lead individuals up to small teams in stressful situations in both precessional and personal contexts.
