Ever since I was little girl, computers and technology have been a passion. The little triangular turtle of the LOGO programming instilled my love of computers in middle school. I remember having to load Nibbles using the DOS command prompts and the lovely sound of dialup Internet. Oh how far we have come! From middle school on I took any and all computer based classes that would fit in my schedule; from keyboarding in middle school to Microsoft Office in high school to programming and graphic design courses in college. If it was available and fit into my schedule, I took it! My passion steered me toward my teaching degree at Black Hills State University. While at the time there was no such thing as a Computer Education degree, I obtained my Business Education degree. Not only did I continue to strengthen and deepen my computer skills, but I fell in love with the idea of inspiring youth to follow their dreams in various fields related to technology.So, now, I am a techie working in education within the business/computer departments at my local high school. Teaching and technology are two fields that are ever evolving which allows me to opportunity for continual growth. And for this, I am very grateful!Skilled in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Python Programming Language, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, Teacher Training, Leadership Skills, Communication Skills, Business Office Operations, and Management Skills.
