1Rebel is revolutionising London's fitness industry with no-contract, 'pay-as-you-train' high intensity fitness boutiques. Founded by the team that brought you Fitness First, and Jatomi Fitness; 1Rebel has become a hit amongst city-workers and also gained 5-star publicity reviews from The Evening Standard, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, Elle and The Financial Times since we opened in mid-January 2015.My role has been to project manage the marketing activities from the very early planning stages, up until now. This involved projects such as developing the strong 1R brand identity, the website development which involved work around e-commerce and SEO, the social media strategy which we see as our strongest communication tool to customers and also the general customer-experience in which 1R famously thrives on.Within 1Rebel, there's two ways to play. Ride (indoor cycling), and Reshape (almost a bootcamp concept, consisting of time spent doing benchwork and treadmill work). All sessions entice a backdrop of playlists curated by our internationally acclaimed music director, DJ Jon White.

Jatomi Fitness is a rapidly expanding chain of fitness clubs across 7 countries. Currently the biggest operator in Poland and in Turkey. Founded by Mike Balfour in 2009 who was the founder and chairman of Fitness First. I started at Jatomi Fitness in Turkey when the company was still in it's infancy and operationally managing 4 middle sized clubs. In my time there I helped the company grow an amazing portfolio of 13 beautiful clubs designed by one of the best architects in Europe which housed 35,000 members across the city of Istanbul. My job role involved managing the digital consumer experience, including the website development process which involved e-commerce activity and also developing the CRM program which involved reaching customers during different touch points of their life cycle. This job role also included the acquisition of customers using online and offline marketing activities, focussing a lot on lead generation and sales. In parallel to this I also worked on the customer retention program which involved internally marketing to current customers that were signed up as members with us to ensure their customer experience was the best it could be and to finally encourage them to renew their membership at their end of their term.
