My role as the Apprenticeship Coordinator is centered around coaching and assessing students in the program. I gather data on participant progress and outcomes to report to the Department of Labor. In addition, I mentor over 50 participants to ensure they are successful in their current situation. - Deliver group and individual training to students - Facilitated communications with the participants in the program in order to support and prepare them for full-time work opportunities.- Access and use other expert resources to design and develop trainingThe Texas is IT (TXIT) Apprenticeship Program at Austin Community College is the result of a grant-funded effort in partnership with San Jacinto Community College and three other Texas institutions. The TXIT program seeks to connect students interested in a career in IT with apprenticeship opportunities at employer partner locations.

Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) Career Center provides career management resources and advising for students and alumni of the University. A department within the Division of Student Affairs, the Career Center works closely with other departments in the division to accomplish our common goal of promoting student development and success.I worked with a team of four Career Counselors and 13 Career Consultants to enhance the resumes, cover letters, interview skills, and the digital presence of FAU students and alumni. Each semester, I coached over 150 clients through exploratory conversations by supporting them as they set and meet career objectives. - Provide support and mentoring for student, identifying where improvements are needed to meet their goals- Determined audience needs and shift materials to be the most applicable for circumstance or individualAlongside my career advising role, I worked with the Employer Relations Team to strengthen and build relationships between the Center and our employers. I crafted innovative additions to the Employer Newsletter, communicated with employers on recruitment opportunities, and assisted in the planning of over five large-scale events each semester.This position has allowed me to further explore my passion for career development and has provided me with opportunities to continue developing my talent for public speaking. The Leadership and Professional Development Initiative (LDPI) within the Office of the Provost was designed to serve the professional development needs of faculty and staff at the University. LDPI designs events, resources, and collaborative opportunities for the University’s Academic Affairs. My focus in this internship was on developing content and marketing materials for the LDPI’s events and website. I supported the development of the website by crafting content and interactive graphics to increase the visual appeal and ease of navigation for our resources. Because this initiative was in a state of rebranding and restructure, I was fortunate enough to aid in the creation of the mission statement and designed engaging transitional documents for individuals stepping into my role in the future.As an intern, I created the logo, marketing strategy, and materials for Inside the Professor’s classroom, a series of interviews done in the style of “Inside the Actors Studio”. I have also collected and analyzed data on our events, in order to continue delivering high-quality programming for faculty and staff.

Housing and Residential Education promotes the academic, personal, and professional success of students in Florida Atlantic University's residence halls.- Utilize metrics to manage and assess deliverablesAs an Assistant Residential Education Coordinator, I was able to strengthen my knowledge and understanding of the Student Affairs and Higher Education field as I navigated a live-in position. In collaboration with three full-time staff members and 20 Resident Assistants, I provided on-campus support for a residential complex that housed 1200 upper-class students. - Designed, implemented, and evaluated eventsI acquired supervisory and administrative skills by directly overseeing Resident Assistants, event programming, and building-wide budgeting.

The Career and Student Success Center houses Academic Advisors and Career Coaches for College of Business students, giving them a wide variety of resources ranging from first-year advising to extensive career and internship searches. I provided unique and timely feedback to over 100 College of Business students each semester regarding their resumes, interviews, and internships. Ultimately, my goal was to aid students as they pursue careers, internships, and jobs. Additionally, I served as a teaching assistant (TA) for a second level business course to ensure the academic and professional needs of the students in my classes. Through interpersonal communication and active listening, I was a resource for students' personal and professional questions. I have had the opportunity to expand my educational software knowledge and public speaking skills because of this experience. The Campus Involvement Center (CIC) provides programming and resources for on-campus students. This office hosts a variety of events, from the Cincinnati Circus to small-scale student organization workshops.In this role, I assisted with the set-up and tear down of programs, making sure everything before, after, and during each event ran smoothly. Prior to event days, I relied on my time management skills to gather and process information on upcoming artists and performers, relaying that to students and staff. In my 2nd year with the CIC, I took the initiative to plan and coordinate a series of events for the campus. I cooperated with Events Services, the Career and Leadership Development Center, and individual student organizations to facilitate the How-To Series. Found below are examples of those programs:

The Office of Multicultural Student Access and Retention aids in the promotion and advancement of multicultural individuals at Ohio University. In this role, I collaborated with 90 peer mentors to assist in the retention and instruction of over 500 incoming freshmen being inducted into the scholarship program. As one these peer mentors, I assisted in the retention of 91% of first-year students in the program returning for their second semester.Our primary goal as peer mentors was to ensure that our mentees were given the support and resources necessary for their success at the institution. In order to do that, I facilitated study sessions and individual supervision sessions for 6 freshmen throughout the academic year.

Bath and Bodyworks is a company devoted to positivity and improvement for both customers and employees.In this position, I pushed products by assisting each customer individually based on their needs and preferences. Simultaneously, I utilized my adaptable nature to provide customers with specific products to suit their individual needs and tastes. Although sales was my primary role, I also arranged and organized displays while working alongside team members to achieve our sales goals and extend great service to every customer. My time as a sales associate pushed me to enhance my communication and interpersonal skills while improving my multi-tasking abilities.

Vertiv (formerly Emerson Network Power) builds, supplies, and maintains technological infrastructure for data centres, networks, and other facilities around the world. At Vertiv I collaborated with members of the regional and global marketing team to revitalize the company's website. During this project, I analyzed the company's social media, blogs, and general online presence in order to provide the newly established organization with subjective feedback. I also learned and utilized the company's social listening tool, Synthesio, to provide reports and information for all of Vertiv's product segments. In addition to this, I crafted tailored reports and presentations in order to ensure the rest of the marketing department knew how to properly use the tool's features.Through creative problem solving and self-motivation, I was able to provide the company with extensive feedback to enhance their and digital presence and capture the attention of their target audience.

As America's largest department store chain, Kohl's sells clothes, jewelry, accessories, and appliances. In my position as a customer service associate, I played a more fluid role than typical employees. While I processed returns and facilitated customer service operations, I also worked as a cashier and aided customers in their purchases at the point-of-sale.I directed customers to specific store departments, depending on the individual's various needs. Additionally, I assisted other members of my team in order to make sure the store was running efficiently.My time at Kohl's fueled my desire to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This position allowed me to enhance my multi-tasking and interpersonal skills through my day-to-day customer interactions.Overall, my primary objective in this role was to ensure each shopper had a stellar Kohl’s experience.
