I pride myself on my strong work ethic and my ability to be seamlessly integrated into a team. My work experiences and graduate school program provided me the opportunity to work on a number on different SLP teams through different settings and clinical practicums, including one out-of-province (Alberta). I enjoy learning about the many different avenues of speech and language pathology by exposing myself to different experiences and pushing myself to learn and find new opportunities to do so. Over a decade in the hospitality industry has given me excellent people skills. My longest employer resides in the heart of the business and tourist district of downtown Vancouver, where I met different people everyday, was constantly faced with different situations and often forced to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.I am certified by the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC to provide assessment and management of adult swallowing disorders via videofluoroscopy (Certificate I).I have passions for speech and communication, dysphagia management, rehabilitation, psychology, nutrition and the human body. I enjoy spending time outdoors, moving my body and practicing yoga. I can also speak Italian at an intermediate level!
