Held the honor of being the first dedicated internal talent acquisition resource for a fully remote financial technology start-up company. Established and led all aspects of talent acquisition and strategic workforce planning company-wide. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. After a wonderful year and 1/2 working with the most inspiring people of my career, the company was acquired and my position was eliminated.-Responsible for all aspects of talent acquisition from workforce planning to sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.-Established consistent and efficient hiring processes following the WHO methodology of interviewing.-Successfully closed 40 position requisitions in 16 months, including 2 VP level hires and 3 Director level hires.-Introduced the company’s first employee referral program-Met with hiring managers regularly to understand needs and continuously educate them on systems, responsibilities, best practices, and legal risks associated with the hiring processes.-Implemented technology resources such as Greenhouse ATS, MyAlly scheduling, Glider assessments, Beamery CRM, and ComplianceHR to optimize hiring processes for efficiency and compliance.-Created and regularly presented hiring dashboard to senior leadership reporting on time-to-fill, source quality, cost-per-hire, employer branding stats, quality-of-hire, etc.-Actively promoted SLH’s employer brand through networking, sourcing candidates, and through partners like Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and The Muse.-Tracked and reported on both the candidate and the hiring manager experience throughout interview processes, using that data to improve processes.

One-half of a two person HR department supporting 180 employees across a privately held textile design and distribution company specializing in the hospitality and government industries. -Responsible for all aspects of HR administration including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, payroll processing, benefits & leaves administration, succession planning, legal compliance & record keeping, affirmative action plan administration, training programs, employee relations, rewards & recognition programs, etc. -Successfully closed 45 position requisitions in 2016, and improved overall company turnover from 19% in 2015 to 13% in 2016. -Established the HR Business Partner function within the company. Conducted monthly one-on-one and group meetings with senior leadership, company-wide to assess and anticipate HR-related needs, as well as to align business objectives with employees and management.-Responsible for annual EEO and Affirmative Action reporting.-Developed and implemented the company’s first record management policy.-Transitioned company from an antiquated time keeping system to ADP’s ezLaborManager.-Developed legally compliant job descriptions and performed compensation analysis for all -Managed all onboarding activities, including the development and delivery of a quarterly employee orientation program, for all new hires.-Administered and oversaw the company’s annual performance review process.

First internal talent acquisition resource for a privately held digital media and entertainment start-up company. Oversaw all aspects of sourcing and onboarding, working on positions from C-level to entry level across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Ad Operations, Production, Editorial, Administrative, IT, Engineering, and Operations, successfully closing 60 positions in 12 months.-Dramatically reduced Company’s average cost per hire by reducing agency spend, job board fees, and implementing solutions with higher ROI.-Trained all Hiring Managers and Interviewers on interviewing processes to ensure legal compliance and improve decision making.-Responsible for the selection, contract negotiation, self-implementation, and ongoing administration of the company’s Applicant Tracking System, Taleo Business Edition.-Oversaw the completion of onboarding documentation for freelancers-Responded to all department of labor inquiries, including unemployment notices.-Ensured that record retention practices were legally compliant.

Fully responsible for all aspects of a “Full Desk” recruiting operation as part of MSi Consulting; a boutique generalist search firm in Boca Raton, FL working on positions from C-level to entry level in a variety of industries.-Sourced suitable candidates to fit client's’ needs using various recruitment methods including referrals, social media, networking, job boards, etc. -Scheduled and participated in meetings with clients, as well as potential clients, to assess the environment, culture and hiring needs.-Negotiated and finalized agency fee agreements/contracts.

Fully responsible for all operations of a high-volume café, with revenues exceeding well over $1M per year, located in a very affluent downtown area.-Sourced, interviewed, hired, and developed approximately 50 entry-level employees, 20 supervisors, and five store managers for all locations within the district. -Utilized expertise of the HR Generalist and Regional Senior Recruiter as mentors and led diversity training, leadership development, succession planning, benefits education, and other HR related projects within the district. -Certified Classroom Facilitator and Manager Coach Mentor responsible for teaching more than 20 entry level and supervisor training classes and developing three externally hired Retail Management Trainees.
