The support specialist role is responsible for assisting the Choose Tourism Sub-Committee with report drafting, meeting minutes and other activities related to the grant and other various committee initiatives. It is my responsibility to conduct research and gather information and insights for committee decision-making alongside supporting the Trusted Advisor Program Coordinator with the organisation and execution of the Trusted Advisor Program. Throughout the inception and delivery of the Emerging Tourism Leaders Summit I supported the project officer, and worked on sourcing, researching and managing speakers, and assisted with design work and printing.

The Launchpad Program is a 7-week professional development opportunity empowering young tourism students and professionals to approach their careers with purpose. Co-facilitating this program alongside the bright minds of Daniela Ruiz Gomez, Loretta Bellato, Pratyush Singh and Matt Sykes was a real privilege and has inspired me immensely for the movement that is the 'future of tourism'. Highlights for me were the range of (pressing) topics discussed each week: Caring for country and biodiversity, climate change and climate anxiety, diversity and reconciliation, the circular economy and addressing waste and empowering young people to instigate and instil change in the workplace. Our guest speakers were world class and student participation was a true testament to how young people are motivated to disrupt the industry.

In my role as a supervisor, I have gained experience with the supervision and performance management of volunteers at both MVB and MVH. Providing excellent customer service and sound knowledge of Melbourne and Victoria is of the utmost importance in this role and I pride myself on consistently providing this to stakeholders. Eager to gain further experience across the branch, I have assisted the volunteer coordinator at CoM events such as Moomba and M/FW.

In this volunteer position on the YTN committee, it has been my responsibility to maintain and foster exisiting and new education partners with YTN. This involves attending TAFE and university events, lectures and social meet-ups. Guest lecturing at the William Angliss Institute on authenticity in tourism was a huge highlight for me and has encouraged me to take on more of these opportunities in the future. The role exposes me to the wider Victorian tourism industry and has allowed me to meet and connect with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community.

Through the collaboration of YTN and Regeneration Projects, the 2022 Workplaces Report aims to inform strategic decision-makers in Victorian tourism, events and hospitality. My role as the research assistant involved analysing primary data, gathering research and report writing.

World Expedition's is one of world's leading adventure travel companies and has been offering unique, off-the-beaten path small group trekking and adventure holidays since 1975. Today World Expeditions offers more than 500 stand alone itineraries with a strong focus on responsible travel and sustainable initiatives. In my role within Huma Charity Challenge (a division of World Expeditions) I worked closely with Australian charities to execute life changing adventure challenges whilst raising much needed funds. I worked closely with charity representatives to ensure each challenge is a success, managed participants travel related needs & provided fundraising support to enable them to hit their target for their chosen cause. In May 2018, accompanied Can Too on their 100km Larapinta Challenge, who managed to fundraise $50,000 for Cure Cancer.

Inspired Travel services Inspired Adventures and beyond. Currently managing operations from all aspects of each Inspired Adventure departure including creative development, production management, risk management and partnership development with offshore and local operators. Overseeing trip delivery, and final reporting on trip completion. Crisis Management Team representative to ensure all adventures are well supported from all angles. Manage team leader selection and training for all Inspired Adventures trips. I was fortunate to team led on Great Wall of China trip with the National Breast Cancer Foundation with 22 participants fundraising $280,000 for the charity.
