At Hyatt Place Downtown Denver I was tasked with opening the hotel bar in the mornings, which included cleaning the espresso machines with cafiza tablets, restocking coffee supplies and ice, running glassware through the dishwasher, rolling out bar mats, and turning on lobby T.V.’s and lights. During the morning shift, my responsibilities included crafting espresso and tea drinks abiding to Starbucks standards, alcoholic beverages, taking food orders, facilitating and organizing deliveries from wholesalers, as well as restocking the bar to ensure bar operations will run smoothly for the night shift. Before switching shifts, I collected the cash drop and completed the tips summary with supervisor approval ensuring the cash drawer is at $300.
