The College of Business Academic Advising and Career Services office is where students come to find resources, have advising appointments, update their resumes, search for internship opportunities, etc. This office is the place for all College of Business students to get solutions to their problems.I assist Academic Advisors, Success Advisors, Peer Coaches, and Career Coaches with many tasks such as checking in students for their appointments, creating calendars, and connecting with other campus representatives. I help students find resources and information through phone calls and email messages. I also build a positive and effective work environment by seeking solutions to students' problems, cleaning surfaces, and following the OHIO value system.

EY is one of the Big Four accounting firms providing audit, consulting, tax, business risk, and technology services, in addition to human capital services worldwide. I had the opportunity to intern there in the Summer of 2023. During my internship, I participated in networking events with fellow interns and full-time employees to build lasting relationships. I integrated acquired skills into work for a client and communicated with a client-based engagement team to anticipate risk. I also aided the engagement team in solving client problems, testing controls, and meeting goals efficiently. I was able to sit in during client meetings and take notes for my team to provide the best services for the client.

Ankle and Foot Clinic is a private practice with one doctor who specializes in feet and ankles. I held an administrative role at this company. I contacted 20+ patients a day to remind them of their upcoming appointments and created appointments for patients who needed to see the doctor. I also assisted the doctor by organizing patient files and paperwork to make the check-in process more efficient. I pulled 50+ files at the beginning of the week to prepare for the patients on the schedule. I handled money and credit card payments from patients, whether it was for their appointment or for new inserts. I contacted multiple insurance companies about certain patients and answered any questions they had. This job allowed me to gain experience in customer service and administration. I experienced the behind the scenes of a private business.

Aut-O-Rama is a family owned business that is located in North Ridgeville, Ohio. I guided customers through the concession area and enforced COVID-19 safety rules. I also prepared the concessions and restocked items before opening and after closing.I worked the concession stand during both movies and special events that were held at the drive-in. This includes company functions and 4 comedy shows. This role taught me how to be a team player and how to work with people.

Designer Shoe Warehouse is a well-known retail store that specializes in shoes. I was an associate at this company. I provided customer service to "shoe-lovers" and produced an efficient checkout for them. I also stocked shoes from the warehouse and fulfilled online orders. I offered the customers different purchasing options if the item they were looking for was not available in store, and obtained up to 20 new sign ups per shift for the rewards program so they could receive perks. This experience taught me a lot about customer service and how big name retailers operate.
